Simultaneous with the first day of the summit, a day after the nationwide boycott of the sham presidential elections by 88 percent of eligible voters, Iranians abroad held the largest gathering in Berlin, Germany to support the Iran Uprising for a democratic secular Republic.

During the summit, a declaration was released, supported by 137 world leaders and over 4,000 legislators from 50 countries calling the 1988 massacres a “crime against humanity”, supporting Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan for Iran and calling for the designates the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist entity. Backed by the majority of representatives in 34 legislative assemblies, the declaration calls for recognizing the Iranian people’s uprising for a democratic republic and supports the efforts of the MEK Resistance Units against the IRGC.

On the first day of the Summit, Maryam Rajavi, President-Elect of the NCRI, praised the massive rally in Berlin as a continuation of the Iranian people’s boycott of Khamenei’s elections, which she deemed fraudulent, “Only 12 percent of eligible voters –fewer than 7.4 million people– turned out.” “The next incoming President represents the continuation of the mullahs’ supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s strategy…“This is why we argue that to achieve peace in the region, it’s crucial to target the head of the snake of warmongering.”
“Dark days lie ahead for the clerical regime. The countdown to overthrow has begun,” Mrs. Rajavi hailed “the generation driven by rebellion and revolution,” stressing that “every day, we witness the performance, growth, and ascension of this generation through the sacrifices of the Resistance Units across our occupied homeland.” Full speech

On the second day, Maryam Rajavi responded to the West’s policy of appeasement, saying, “Over the last four decades, Western politicians have repeatedly granted concessions to the clerics, certainly securing specific commercial or diplomatic gains. However, when these decisions undergo the scrutiny of historical judgment, it becomes evident that this policy was founded on shortsightedness and transient interests, causing severe harm to the people of Iran, the Middle East, and global peace and security…
Indeed, there is both a pathway and a solution. The people of Iran have put forth an alternative and a solution: a vision of a free Iran, devoid of torture and executions, a democratic republic where religion is separate from state governance, where gender equality prevails, and where oppressed nationalities enjoy autonomy”. On the Third day of the summit, Maryam Rajavi, said, “The absence of any international accountability has emboldened the mullahs to shed blood without hesitation…”
She called the United Nations and its member states to action:
- End the impunity of Iran’s rulers. Bring Khamenei, the head of the Judiciary, and IRGC commanders to justice in an international court.
- Expel the agents and mercenaries of this regime from your countries.
- Recognize the legitimacy of the just resistance of the Iranian people for freedom and the struggle of rebellious youths and Resistance Units to overthrow this regime.
- Stop appeasing the mullahs’ regime. Make the continuation of relations contingent on the cessation of executions and torture in Iran. Full speech
Excerpts from some of the speakers:
Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence emphasized “Because of all of you, the winds of change are blowing in Iran stronger than ever before.” “I want the wider world to understand that MEK and the NCRI share the same values that Western nations hold dear.”
Pence highlighted Mrs. Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for the future of Iran, which he described as extending “political, social, and economic equality to women” and ensuring “the freedom of expression, the freedom of assembly, and guarantee the right of every Iranian to live, to work, to worship, according to the dictates of their conscience in freedom.”
Pence noted that “the persecution and murder of members of the Resistance Units across Iran have strongly strengthened this movement in its numbers, its capabilities, its resolve, and its inspiration in the free world.”

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the clear alternative provided by the NCRI: “The MEK provides a solution to so many problems, not only for Iran but for the broader Middle East as well. There is an alternative.” He praised the organization’s platform as “grounded in this self-evident truth upon which American democracy was founded.”
Pompeo praised the courage of the MEK members, saying, “I’m counting on the courageous men and women. The courageous men and women, some of whom I’ve had the chance to meet, have become a nightmare for the regime. They will force change.”
Former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper underscored the NCRI’s capability as an alternative, stating, “The alternative to the regime is not chaos, it is this, Iran’s well-organized and democratic opposition.” Harper noted, “It’s one with long-standing organization and deep social roots. It has an active network inside and outside of Iran and capable leadership.” “The only way to handle Iran’s regime is by toughening sanctions, condemning human rights violations, declaring it a state sponsor of terrorism, and closing its embassies worldwide”.
Former German Minister Peter Altmaier addressed the rally: In the upcoming weeks and months, we have important things to do. Politicians must find the strength to support the opposition that is fighting for freedom in Iran. The Ten-Point Plan of Mrs. Rajavi is a document for the rule of law, freedom, and democracy. Spread its message.
Former Belgian PM and MEP Guy Verhofstadt: We need a new, bolder strategy based on four pillars: recognizing the IRGC as a terrorist organization, abandoning efforts to revive the nuclear deal, adopting a unified EU strategy to liberate hostages through collective sanctions, and recognizing and cooperating with the NCRI… Mrs. Rajavi, it’s time for Western leaders to engage with you and all democratic forces in Iran, as the future of Iran will be without the Shah or the mullahs.
Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss emphasized: “We should never ever give up on the idea of a free and democratic Iran.” She called for increased pressure on the regime and support for those seeking change: “We need to step up our efforts to stop the supply of funding to the Iranian regime, to increase the sanctions on the regime.”
Former French Foreign Minister Michele Alliot-Marie: We assert that there is an alternative, and that is the plan by Maryam Rajavi. It ensures peace across the world. We need to hear this voice more and more. It is important that they know that we support them and they are right and we will help them to be the country they deserve to be.
Former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi: We believe a free Iran is a moral duty for three reasons. First, for the people of Iran…The second reason is that a free Iran is a moral duty for the Middle East because of what happened on October 7 …The third and last reason is not only for the people of Iran and the Middle East but for the world. The world is in chaos. It is important to fight for democracy because democracy is at risk… We have different cultures but shared values, as stated in Madam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan.
Former Speaker of the UK House of Commons, John Bercow, praised the NCRI’s Ten-Point Plan as “one of the most eloquent articulate, and comprehensive statements of an alternative that any Democrat could wish to see.” He highlighted its focus on “the sovereignty of the people, the right of the people to choose their parliament and to choose their rulers.” As Bercow concluded, “We will not stop making the argument until that government is achieved.”
