Our Mission

Alliance for Public Awareness (APA) is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization, comprised of Iranians who reside in Europe as citizens, residents, and refugees, that is dedicated to the campaign to defend the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Iranian people and to endeavor, through public and political initiatives, for the establishment of a democratic, free, and non-nuclear Iranian Republic based on the separation of religion and state. APA longs for Iran where human rights are upheld, the followers of other religions and Iran’s nationalities and ethnicities are equal before the law.

APA believes that the European Union, its member states, and other European countries must stand with the aspiration and struggle of the Iranian people to achieve the abovementioned goals. As a first step, they should abandon the policy of engaging and appeasing the medieval theocracy ruling Iran and hold the Iranian regime’s leaders to account for four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide, including the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners, 90 percent of whom were members and sympathizers of Iran’s principal opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), also known by its Farsi name, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK).

APA will serve as a platform for Iranian opposition organizations working on human rights issues and is a resource for Iranian community organizations in the Europe that want to lend their voices to the call for democratic change in Iran.

Advocacy

APA, a nonpartisan network of Iranian-European communities from across the European continent, is the largest organization of Iranian Europeans, and its members and activists, all of whom are volunteers, are regularly and actively engaged in improving relations between the Iranian people and Europe. This APA platform provides members and other interested parties information on conferences, rallies, marches, and other activities organized or sponsored by APA, and will have an opportunity to join and get involved in the types of activities they like.

The APA will utilize public diplomacy, education, media, and grassroot efforts to advocate for better lives for millions of Iranians who have suffered through more than four decades of discrimination, oppression, and tyranny.

APA endorses the Ten-Point Plan articulated by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), for the future of Iran, which calls for free and fair elections and respect for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Charter and is committed to the abolition of Sharia Law and the death penalty.

By virtue of the heroic resistance of the Iranian people, men and women alike, democracy and freedom are within reach. Join us today to make this a reality.

Alliance For Public Awareness

It is with this view and belief that we set up the Alliance for Public Awareness. We are not doing it simply as a community of specific minorities but as part of the European community with knowledge and opportunity to make the public aware of issues of importance for peace, security and the promotion of human rights.
