Polish Supporters of a Free Iran Urge Immediate Action to Stop Executions in Iran

The Polish Committee of Friends of a Free Iran has issued a heartfelt and urgent appeal to the United Nations and international organizations, urging them to take immediate measures to prevent the execution of six political prisoners in Iran.

In their statement, the Committee expressed deep concern over the alarming rise in executions carried out by the Iranian regime in 2024. With over 800 people executed so far this year, the Committee highlights the growing use of capital punishment as a systematic means of repressing dissent and silencing opposition voices. The surge in executions marks a troubling intensification of state-sponsored violence against those who dare to challenge the regime’s authority.

The appeal emphasizes the moral and legal responsibility of the international community to act decisively. “Turning a blind eye to these atrocities only emboldens the regime to continue its brutal campaign against its own people,” the statement warns. The Polish Committee of Friends of a Free Iran calls on global leaders to prioritize human rights and justice, using all available diplomatic and legal channels to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its actions.
