Marc Ginsberg, US ambassador to Morocco from 1994–1998 and former Deputy Senior Adviser to the President of the United States for Middle East Policy, addressed the panel on “Crisis in the Middle East, Prospects and Solutions“, Paris, 8 July 2016
Marc Ginsberg expressed his concern about the policies adopted towards the Middle East and said, “There is a crisis of leadership in the US and Europe on how to deal with the Middle East… the collapse of the European project will have a direct impact on the NATO alliance. The collapse of the European project with give further incentive to Putin and its allies in Iran to continue their policies to undermine our friends and our core interests in the region.”
