Geneva – Iranians urge UN to stop executions in Iran

April 8, 2014 – Iranians residing in Geneva, site of the European Headquarters of the UN, staged a protest against rising number of executions in Iran and called on the UN to break silence on the gross violations of human rights in that country.

Their appeal is part of their ongoing sit-in outside the UN building to seek the world body’s protection for the residents of Camp Liberty in Iraq, home to Iranian refugees opposed to the clerical rule in their homeland. The protest took place on the 1073rd day of their sit-in.
