A press conference was held at the sidelines of the United Nations Human Rights Council session in Geneva.
Mr. Boumedra was joined by Ms. Azade Zabeti, deputy of the Iranian lawyers committee in the United Kingdom, and Farzad Madadzadeh, a former political prisoner from Iran.
They provided a report to various journalists and reporters regarding the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988.
The report, prepared at the request of the “Justice for the Victims of Iran’s 1988 Massacre” association, is written by Ms. Zabeti, a human rights lawyer and expert.
“This report was written following the revelation of Mr. Montazeri’s sound file last year and the first publication coincided with the UN Human Rights Council session,” she said.
Former political prisoner Farzad Madadzadeh explained what he witnessed in Iran’s prisons and reiterated how Iran’s younger generation is demanding those behind the 1988 massacre be brought to justice.
