Mitchell Reiss: Next US president needs to actively and progressively promote regime change in Iran

Mitchell Reiss, President and CEO of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in Virginia, former director of policy planning at the U.S. Department of State with special emphasis on Iraq, Iran and the Arab-Israeli conflict, addressed the panel on “One year After Nuclear Deal”, Paris, 8 July 2016.

Mitchell Reiss outlined what the future US policy should be and said, “The next president of the United States needs to develop a comprehensive strategy to reassure our friends and allies around the Gulf and actively and progressively promote regime change inside Iran. At the end of the day, the only guarantor of peace and security in the region is the nature of the Iranian regime.”
